After more than two years of construction, Sigdo Koppers Engineering and Construction began the final stretch of execution of the MAPA project (Modernization Expansion of the Arauco Plant), an iconic work due to its size, investment and relevance for the Region.

The contract awarded by Arauco to SK Engineering and Construction consists of increasing the production capacity of the current facilities of the Arauco Plant, located in southern Chile, through the creation of a new Pulp Line (L3). SKIC contemplates a total of 6,870,000 direct man-hours for the civil electromechanical assembly of the Digester, Washing, Bleaching, Machine and Final Line.
