SKIC Brasil is recognized with the “Golden Case” award in the mining sector, granted by Vale to suppliers who stand out in their work. SKIC was the winner for having obtained the best performance indicators in safety, health and environment, during the works carried out in the first semester of 2022 in the Sol do Cerrado Project. In order to compete and win the “Golden Helmet”, the fact that SKIC had previously won the SSMAC award, also for their performance in the same play, was also counted.
To win the “Golden Helmet” award, SKIC carried out critical and challenging activities, with proactive actions to avoid adversities and accidents, maintaining great transparency in activities and giving full priority to the integrity of employees in the construction of the transmission line. of 230 KV, which connects the Sol do Cerrado collector substation to the Jaíba (MG) substation. The line interconnects to the National Interconnected System (SIN) a photovoltaic plant of the company with 17 substations, which make up one of the largest solar energy generators in Latin America, with installed power of 766 Megawatts (MWp) and energy production capacity of 1.7 Gigawatt-hours per year (GWh/year).
