The President of the Republic of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, kicked off the deployment of 5G network in the country, becoming the first nation in Latin America to have this technology. The network will provide a better browsing experience — higher speed — to internet users. The activity featured the participation of our robot EVA, who performed a live 5G pilot test.

The new high-speed mobile network will have a “transformational” effect by enabling the digitalization of different processes that will directly impact people’s quality of life, such as robotic surgeries, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, disease detection and climate change monitoring, among many others.

Sigdo Koppers Ingeniería y Construcción (SKIC) and SK Godelius developed Engineering Virtual Assistant (EVA), a management system to improve control of construction projects, by means of a visual record and capture of field data in real-time, thanks to its sensors and inspection software.
